Getting Here

It is relatively easy to get to Nicaragua in one day from almost anywhere in North America. The country is serviced by non-stop flights from Houston on United Airlines, from Miami on American Airlines and from Atlanta on Delta Airlines. There are also available flights from Spirit Airlines, Avianca, Copa, Taca and Aeromexico.

For eastern Canadians, you can either connect through Houston with United Airlines, or fly Westjet non-stop from Toronto to Liberia, in northern Costa Rica, which is just south of the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Typical travel time from western Canada is 12 hours, including a layover for a few hours in Houston, Texas.

We suggest you book into one of the two hotels next to the Augusto Sandino Airport in Managua upon arrival. The Best Western "las Mercedes" is directly across the street and the "Camino Real" is a short shuttle bus drive to the south. Let us know your arrival and departure dates and we will meet you in the morning at you hotel to begin the tour. We will bring you back to either the hotel or Airport for your return flight.

Before you leave home, make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months or you will not be allowed to enter. There is a $10 USD entry fee collected at the airport.
